'Cutting Red Tape' Review - and licensing

The Cabinet Office has launched a Cutting Red Tape Review of Local Authority business regulation services, including licensing.

Government is trying to establish where there are inefficiencies; duplications etc. in Local Authority regulation of business and all interested are encouraged to respond to the review. The review closes for comment on Thursday 28th April.
